We have invested our expertise, skills and knowledge to create a new plant-based product line that would satisfy the growing demand for sustainable lifestyle and plant-based diet with a high-grade and delicious foods.
The main ingredient of Fish Peas is a pea isolate, which is the most sustainable plant protein in terms of carbon footprint estimations. All the raw materials that are used to create Fish Peas come from Europe, which not only shortens delivery chains, but also helps ensure that the product is of the highest-possible quality.
Peas as the primary source of protein for Fish Peas were chosen due to practical and historical reasons.
Latvia has historically been a successful region for growing peas. While pea itself is a highly sustainable crop, additional environmental benefit is provided by a shorter supply chain. Cultivation and all stages of processing take place within less than a few hundred kilometres, which positively affects the quality of the final product.
There are also obvious health benefits – Fish Peas lowers cholesterol levels, is high in iron, is easily digestible and is rich in amino acids.
